June Prices Received Index Down 1.4 Percent
The June Prices Received Index 2011 Base (Agricultural Production), at 138.7, decreased 1.4 percent from May but was unchanged from June 2025. At 113.5, the Crop Production Index was down 2.2 percent from last month but up 9.0 percent from the previous year. The Livestock Production Index, at 158.7, increased 0.1 percent from May, but decreased 6.8 percent from June last year. Producers received lower prices during June for strawberries, broccoli, corn and celery but higher prices for lettuce, cattle, lemons and cantaloupes. In addition to prices, the volume change of commodities marketed also influences the indexes. In June, there was decreased monthly movement for strawberries, lettuce, cattle and calves and increased marketing of grapes, wheat, peaches and hay.
June Prices Paid Index Down 0.5 Percent
The June Prices Paid Index for Commodities and Services, Interest, Taxes, and Farm Wage Rates (PPITW), at 162.9, is down 0.5 percent from May 2026 but up 8.8 percent from June 2025. Lower prices in June for feeder cattle, feeder pigs, diesel, and nitrogen more than offset higher prices for other services, self-propelled machinery, potash & phosphate, and tractors.
